A stately McCormick decanter from The Confederates series, modeled as Major General J.E.B. Stuart standing at ease in plumed hat and gauntlets, his saber and colors behind him. The painter gave the cavalry gray and the buff hat a warm, believable tone, and the whole is no small feat of the mold-maker's art. Stands approximately 12 inches on a base lettered J.E.B. STUART, with its original printed carton marked 1833-1864, McCormick Distilling Co., Weston, Missouri. The seal is intact. See photos for exact size and condition.
