Designed by Jean de Fougerolle and first issued in 1993, the Hermes Les Chevaux des Moghols scarf celebrates the equestrian traditions of India's Mughal court. Elaborately framed scenes depict ceremonial riders, polo, and hunting, recalling the horseback pursuits described in the Hermes Spring-Summer 1993 seasonal scarf booklet.

This Carre 90 appears to be crafted in silk twill, with an ivory ground enlivened by turquoise, coral, pink, and pale yellow accents within taupe and gold-tone printed borders. Horse portraits occupy the four corners, surrounding a central courtly procession. Their balanced arrangement creates an attractive paired effect when the scarf is folded and draped over the shoulders. The Hermes Paris signature appears within the design.
