Description

1067. LARGE GERMAN BELSNICKLE WITH LAMP FIXTURE | Circa1870, a rare and one of a kind composition, Belsnickle standing on a snow mound, wearing a long mica snow flecked robe, he has a kind but somewhat stern looking face with deep blue eyes, he was made with a gas tube insert in his back that extends through his body and exits on his folded right arm. At one time this fixture would have lit a lamp to help him find his way on Christmas Eve. A very rare and wonderful creation of our Christmas past.
