Large vintage A.C. Gilbert Erector "Merry Go Round" amusement ride model, built using components from the classic Erector Set No. 10-1/2 "Amusement Park Set." The model features an impressive circular rotating platform with articulated red carousel horses on suspended arms, supported by overhead girder braces and (2) mounted operator's booth marked "Erector." Powered by an electric motor positioned within the central column, the structure showcases the sophisticated engineering style developed at the Gilbert Hall of Science. Tested and worked at the time.
