A finely stitched Scottish sampler worked in red, blue, and soft green wool threads on a linen ground, featuring multiple alphabet rows, numerals, and decorative borders. The lower register presents a central flowering tree flanked by two stylized peacocks and potted floral motifs. Signed “Sophia Jameson, Cupar, 1816”.

OS: 19 1/4 x 12 1/4 in. (48.9 x 31.1 cm.), SS: 15 1/4 x 10 3/4 in. (38.7 x 27.3 cm.)
