Large Navajo Yei Wool Weaving, 1930s. Handspun and woven in purple, red, green, orange brown and black yarns on a natural grey field, depicting a row of seven female teis (Holy People who communicate between the Navajo and their gods), each with square head, elongated stick body attired in a skirt and holding sacred ceremonial symbols, with three arrows down the right side and all within a Rainbow Guardian protecting the teis on three sides, leaving an opening facing east allowing the medicine man entrance.4 ft. 5 in. x 11 ft. 6 in.
