MARKED OLD HICKORY RUSTIC ARMCHAIR

Description

MARKED OLD HICKORY RUSTIC ARMCHAIR, having straight rear posts and slightly outwardly-canted front posts connected by three bent pieces making up the back and arms, legs connected by a box stretcher, retains the likely-original surface and woven-splint seat. Stamped on the rear leg "OLD HICKORY / CHAIR CO. / SHELBYVILLE, IN". First quarter 20th century. 35" HOA, 15 1/2" H seat, 18" x 15 1/2" OA seat.

Condition

Good overall condition with minor wear to the finished surface; the seat with breakage over one of the side lists.
