Dalhart Windberg is a painter of romantic landscapes inspired by his travels throughout Texas, Mexico, Spain, Greece and other European countries. Early on, Windberg became a student of Texas painter Simon Michael, who encouraged him to paint whatever strikes his fancy. After proving his skill with a palette knife, he developed a "smooth brush" method of achieving smooth surfaces in the tradition of the Old Masters, garnering notice and awards for his beautiful and precise depictions. Windberg's works have been widely circulated as limited edition prints, and the artist continues to teach new aspiring artists to this day from his Georgetown, Texas studio.
