Description

(1892 - 1969) SS officer famous for carrying the Blutfahne, the blood-stained flag from the "Beer Hall Putsch" in which Grimminger had also participated. Tried in 1946, all of his property was confiscated and he died in poverty. Bold black ink signature on the verso of a postcard showing Grimminger holding the standard, postmarked at the Reichs Party Grounds in Nuremburg, Sep. 9, 1936, with text about the signature explaining how the signature was obtained. Very good.
