HUGO SPERRLE (1885 - 1953) German field marshal of the Luftwaffe during World War II, captured by the Allies and charged with war crimes in the High Command Trial at the Subsequent Nuremberg Trials but was acquitted. Partly-printed D.S. ‘Sperrle’ 1p. 4to., Munich, Oct. 2, 1936, a promotion of Wilhelm Ostler from non-commissioned officer to the Regional Air Command. File holes at left margin, additional folds and light toning to edges, very good.
