
Description
(1802 - 1888) Confederate major general who led Pender's forces during Picket's charge at Gettysburg after the former was wounded. He was severely wounded, losing a leg after his capture. War-date signature 'I. R. Trimble Brig. Genl. Comdg' cut from a letter or document. Very light but largely legible, estimated accordingly. Nicely double-matted with an image and set into a gilt wood frame.
