Left side of the slide is marked with Colt's 2-line mfg. and patent information, followed by the Rampant Colt logo, with "COLT AUTOMATIC/ CALIBRE .380 HAMMERLESS" marked on the right. Left side of the frame is marked with a U.S. crossed cannons ordnance escutcheon at the rear, with "U.S. PROPERTY" marked on the right. Left side of bbl. is properly marked "COLT 380 AUTO". Metal components exhibit a blue finish, save for on the muzzle and chamber areas of the bbl., which are polished in-the-white. Slide matches the frame via the full S# on the interior. MAGS: x1 blued steel 7-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: reproduction cardboard box. CONDITION: metal components retain traces of their original factory blue finish, with the balance having faded to gray patina and exhibiting scattered patches and areas of mild pitting overall. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Action does not function properly, with every couple of manual cycles of the slide cocking the hammer. Grips show mild wear and smoothing, but otherwise remain sound. Reproduction box shows some light exterior wear, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (25-5445/MLW). CURIO. $800-1,400.
