Rare 19" x 12 3/4" counter display box from the Ideal Fishing Float Co. of Richmond, Virginia. This particular set originated from the Michigan Tackle Supply Company of Muskegon. The assortment includes three different types of hand lines with bobbers, skeins of line, snelled hook packs, two different models of loose floats, hooks and Big Rapids line, all new/old unused stock. Within the master box are compartment boxes, all covered in the original matching light blue plaid paper. The interior lid includes a large 12 3/8" x 10" complete "Ideal Fishing Tackle Assortment" label with bright "His first big fish" graphic. Overall condition of the master box is about VG, with soiling, taped paper hinge, a section of edge flap loss, and general wear. With the exception of normal aging and/or box wear, the contents are as they were many decades ago. Very few of these Ideal display pieces survived, with this being the largest and most complete of any previously offered for sale.
