Long-Body Pintail Pair

This pair of folky, long-bodied decoys was offered in Sotheby's January 18, 2008 Important Americana auction, lot 319. They were offered among Crowell carvings and Kankakee pintails. The underside of each hollow body are the painted initials "E.I.R."
Old working paint with heavy gunning wear, including crazing and flaking throughout. Loose body seam of hen and glued body seam on drake.
