Great Primitive Bobbin Rack

Description

Discovered in central Pennsylvania, a perfect display to go with your textile collection. Hewn side posts, top rail, feet and cross braces with repurposed lathe as the center post and chunk of wood for the bottom rail. Reinforced with square nails. Heavy wire fed through each side and bent allows the bobbins to be turned. The bobbins are early turned pieces of oak. Each bobbin retains period rag. A great primitive display! 1860-1880. 60 1/2"H x 28 1/4"W x 20 1/2"D
