
A FINE GILT-EMBELLISHED FAMILLE VERTE 'LADY AND BOYS' ROULEAU VASE Kangxi Decorated with a continuous scene of ladies and boys sitting relaxing across a garden veranda, with two ladies sitting beside a table laid with a teapot and two cups, a small boy vying for their attention as they look across at another youth presenting a cassia flower to a third lady reclining with a fan against green rocks, behind them, a fourth lady is turned away to observe a pair of butterflies in flight, with balustraded gardens beyond with further rockwork, banana leaves and bamboo, all beneath wispy scrolling clouds and an orange sun, the neck with a band of peony sprays. 40cm (15 3/4in) high.
