
A PAIR OF SILVER-INLAID BRONZE USUBATA AND A BRONZE FLOWER VASE Edo/Meiji period Each usubata supported on a wide flanged circular foot with three openwork lotus-throne components supporting a smaller circular socketed stand, the body decorated with a figurative scene on either side, and set with stylised openwork floral handles, the interior of the rim decorated with flying geese, details cast in relief and further picked out in silver inlay; the flower vase with wide flaring mouth emerging from a globular mid-section, raised on a spreading foot, set with loop handles to the shoulders emerging from beast head masks.
