A GROUP OF FIVE EMBROIDERED AND PLEATED SILK SKIRTS, MAMIAN QUN Late Qing Dynasty Comprising: an ivory ground skirt embroidered to the central panel with flowers and precious objects; a green-ground skirt embroidered with floral sprays; a green-ground altered skirt embroidered in Peking stitch with an auspicious medallion surrounded by floral sprays; a purple skirt with its central panel depicting birds and flowers on an ivory ground; and a black-ground skirt embroidered with polychrome flowers.
