FIVE RED GROUND EMBROIDERED SKIRTS 19th to 20th century Comprising: a pair of skirts each embroidered to the central panel with flowers and butterflies, the pleats embroidered with further floral sprays; a pair of half-width skirts embroidered to the ruyi-head ivory ground panels with blue floral sprays; a red-ground skirt embroidered with polychrome peony flowers. The largest 85cm (33 1/2in) wide x 194cm (76 3/8in) long. (5).
