
A PAIR OF BRONZE VASES AND A SINGLE BRONZE VASE Meiji period The pair each rising from a splayed foot to a round body and a slender waisted neck, decorated with mixed metals in relief variously with a bird flying above chrysanthemums and a blossoming cherry tree; the 'crane' vase of slender ovoid form rising to a short lipped rim, decorated with silver inlays in relief depicting two cranes in flight and Mount Fuji amidst scrolling clouds in gold wire, an inscription dedicates it to Mizushima, signed Hidemasa.
