
THREE INRO AND A TONKOTSU Edo-Meiji period Comprising: a gold lacquer four-case inro depicting sparrows above water in gold hiramaki-e, enriched with aogai (mother-of-pearl) and gold kirikane; a carved red-lacquer four-case inro, with a continuous scene depicting scholars in a landscape, with a red-lacquer netsuke of a miniature stand depicting a scholar in a landscape; a red lacquer two-case inro bearing a rich vermilion ground decorated with a horse beside a tree; and a mixed metal inlaid wood tonkotsu of finely grained wood, inlaid to depict a curly haired figure catching a fish, with a stag antler netsuke.
