A BRONZE AND MIXED METAL TRAY Meiji period Decorated to the centre in gold, silver, shibuichi and shakudo, depicting in relief a sparrow perched on the nest of its fledglings, a further bird gazing upward at prunus branches, the canted edges decorated with a floral diaper band, raised on four feet and signed Kikukawa Hidemitsu. 38.1cm (15in) x 26.3cm (10 3/8in).
