A GOLD AND SILVER-INLAID BRONZE EWER AND COVER By Miyabe Atsuyoshi, Meiji period The lobed bulbous body raised on short tripod feet, and set with an overhead bamboo-form handle, with an elongated curved spout, the body inlaid on one side to depict egrets beneath a silver full moon and to the reverse with birds in flight, with further birds to the cover and upper edge of the spout, signed Dai Nihon Kyoto ju Miyabe Atsuyoshi with kao. 28cm (11 1/2in) long.
