
TWO METAL MOUNTED WOOD BOXES, A METAL BOX, TWO TSUBA AND A SHAKUDO BRACELET Meiji period Comprising: a rectangular wood box with the cover decorated in relief with sakura and maple leaves, signed riken koku; a box decorated with sparrows amidst sakura petals in relief; a metal box supported on four raised feet, decorated with a pair of cranes clasping pine branches, signed miki tsukuru; a tsuba decorated in relief with sages and a child on one side and rockwork in a terraced garden on the other side; a tsuba with three cranes and grasses; and a shakudo bracelet variously depicting nature, animals and a mythical figure.
