A MOULDED AND RETICULATED FAHUA 'EIGHT IMMORTALS' JAR, GUAN Ming Dynasty Of baluster form, relief decorated with Shoulao seated beside his deer, greeted by the Eight Immortals amongst pine, rockwork and billowing clouds, above a band of lappets at the foot and lotus flowerheads at the shoulder, on double walled reticulated grounds, the neck with overlapping lotus petals and stylised clouds, all on a deep aubergine-glazed ground, the interior glazed green. 33cm (13in) wide.
