
AN IMARI GOURD EWER AND A PAIR OF MINIATURE WINE POTS AND COVERS Edo period, 17th/18th century The ewer formed as a triple gourd rising to a tall cylindrical neck with slender curved handle and spout decorated with a scholar in a garden amongst blossoming trees; the miniature wine pots of globular form, finely potted and decorated with scattered sprigs of bamboo and cherry blossom, fitted box.
