A LARGE SWATOW BLUE AND WHITE 'PHOENIXES' CHARGER Late Ming Dynasty Painted to the centre with three confronting phoenixes amongst leafy peony stems, the well with egrets amongst lotuses issuing from a river, the shaped rim painted with a band of scrolling lotus stems and floral panels, all on a creamy crackle-suffused ground. 43.2cm (17in) diam.
