
A GROUP OF THREE ARITA AND KO-IMARI SQUARE FLASKS, TOKKURI Edo period, late 17th century Comprising: a blue and white flask decorated to each face with a scholar in a bamboo grove; a smaller flask alternately decorated to each face in underglaze blue, enamels and gilt with cranes amongst pine, bamboo and rockwork and auspicious characters and objects; and another in underglaze blue, iron red, enamels and gilt with mythical figures alternating with flowering peonies and rockwork, with a moulded pine branch finial.
