A PAIR OF APPLE-GREEN-GLAZED VASES Late Qing Dynasty Each of pear-shaped form, supported on a cylindrical foot and rising to a flared neck, with stylised dragon handles suspending rings, suffused overall with an irregular craquelure, the interior and base with a glaze of mushroom-hue, the sides covered in a rich green glaze. 27cm (10 5/8in) high. The present lot is distinguished by its stylised dragon-form handles, which appear to draw inspiration from, and represent a simplified interpretation of, Longquan wares.
