A PAINTED POTTERY JAR AND A STONEWARE JAR Neolithic and Eastern Zhou The painted pottery jar with a globular body below a slightly everted cylindrical neck, the body set with twin loop handles, painted in brown pigments with geometric patterns; the stoneware jar of baluster shape with impressed decoration in simulation of textile designs, wood stand. 39.5cm (15 1/2in) high; 26.5cm (10 3/8in) high.
