A GILT AND LACQUER WOOD TROMPE-L'ŒIL 'RHINOCEROS HORN' CARVING Late Qing Dynasty Of gently curving conical form lacquered and painted in rich chocolate hues in simulation of a rhinoceros horn, raised on an integral gilt-decorated stand carved with four ruyi-form feet emerging from beast-head masks. 20cm (7 7/8in) high.
