
A GROUP OF AGATE SNUFF BOTTLES 19th century Comprising: a shadow agate pebble form bottle, well-hollowed, the semi-translucent stone with natural inclusions forming aquatic plant-like decoration around the body, wood stopper, 6.2cm (2 3/8in) high; a silhouette agate bottle of rounded square form, well hollowed, the translucent stone with orange patches forming a bird perched on a branch, the reverse plain, jadeite stopper with ivory collar and spoon, 5.6cm (2 1/4in high); and a smaller pebble form bottle with natural white, brown and black striations, silver stopper inlaid with a coral bead, metal spoon, 5cm (2in) high.
