
A SMALL XINGYAO LION-HANDLED EWER Tang Dynasty Elegantly modelled with a slender ovoid body surmounted by a waisted cylindrical neck with lipped rim, applied with a short spout to one side of the shoulder and a lion-shaped handle to the other side of the rim leaping into the interior, all under a creamy-white glaze falling unevenly above the foot to reveal the buff stoneware body. 10cm (4in) high.
