
A BLUE AND WHITE KO-SOMETSUKE TEAPOT AND COVER Late Ming Dynasty The teapot of squat shape body rising to a tall, wide neck, set to one side with a spout and surmounted by an arched handle, painted to the exterior with a continuous scene of two elders on horsebacks amid a landscape with clouds, trees, and rocky outcrops, with a fitted cover topped with an ear-shaped knop and cut away both on both sides to accommodate the handle. 19.8cm (7 3/4in) high.
