
A BLUE AND WHITE 'THREE FRIENDS OF WINTER' JAR Kangxi Sturdily potted of ovoid form surmounted by a short unglazed tapering neck, deftly painted in cobalt-blue around the body with a continuous scene of bamboo, plum blossom and gnarled pine trees issuing from the ground rendered in hemp-fibre brush strokes, all within a balustraded garden with the moon above, carved wood cover. 21.2cm (8 3/8in) diam.
