
A JASPER 'STORKS' SNUFF BOTTLE 18th/19th century Of compressed globular form, the body below a cylindrical neck and supported on a short foot ring surrounding a flat base, the front finely carved in relief from the marble-white patch with a pair of storks, their necks elegantly arched backwards, the mottled olive green stone on the reverse carved with two leafy bamboo plants, stopper. 7cm (2 3/4in) high.
