
A BLUE-OVERLAY GLASS SNOWSTORM-GROUND 'BATS' SNUFF BOTTLE 18th/19th century The flattened globular body rising from a short foot to a cylindrical neck, the sapphire-blue overlay crisply carved in relief with three bats flying above a churning wave surging onto a rocky outcrop on which grow a bamboo stalk and budding prunus tree, stopper. 5.5cm (2 1/8in) high.
