The main colors are an olive beige border ground with a red niche interior field, with robin's egg blue, lovely yellow, and pistachio green accents throughout. Notable design features of these early Ghiordes prayer rugs include a very spacious floral border design and highly articulated tree branch spandrels. The design, color palette, and age of this rug is very similar to one sold in the Aita Collection, Christie's 18 Oct 2001, lot 218.
