A FRAMED PRINT OF GEORGE WASHINGTON'S BUST AT PRESIDENTS PARK, VIRGINIA framed 55 x 46 1/2in Footnotes: The Presidents Heads was a cultural site commissioned by Everette H. Newman III housing 42 large-scale busts created by David Pryor Adickes representing the first 42 U.S. presidents, several miles north of Williamsburg, Virginia. The busts have since fallen into disrepair and deterioration since their original creation in March 2004. Low visitor turnout and high cost of upkeep cause the park to close in September 2010. After their eventual move to businessman Howard Hankins' property, curious visitors and photographers snuck into the 'abandoned park' to take photographs of the disfigured busts. Subsequent popularity inspired Howard to arrange limited tours of the site.
