Ca. 20th century AD. >A collection comprising a finely shaped canoe model from the Trobriand Islands, Papua New Guinea, together with two small Micronesian implements.The canoe model is carved in an elongated, tapering form, likely from bone or a pale hardwood, with a gently upturned terminal at one end. Accompanying it are two small implements of stone or shell, each carefully shaped.
