Cal. 22 LR. S# P74929. Bbl. 29" medium weight target barrel numbered P74929 with flat crown plus target block at muzzle with Parker Hale No. FS22A globe sight ; no insert. Receiver has Parker Hale 7A receiver sight with target disc having adjustable aperture. Mfg. pre WW-II with numerous BV proofs, takedown action and passage at rear of receiver for align cleaning of bore. Top front of receiver marked ""OBI" over "OBN" as read looking at rear. Pistol grip walnut stock set having contoured forend with 1 large screw for attachment plus accessory rail for most of its length on bottom; adjustable target swivel set in rail. Buttstock has pistol grip shape, straight comb with raised cheek piece plus BSA marked black serrated buttpad. Classic target rifle that was deemed and entry level match rifle. CONDITION: very good to excellent metal appearance with fine pinprick spots. Stock has some very light handling marks along with forend repair near receiver consisting of 2 round dowel tops; additionally, there are 2 sets of filled screw holes that likely held front sight disc container. Steel accessory rail insert of forend has appearance of thin cold bluing. Near excellent bore. PROVENANCE: From the Lifetime Collection of Malcolm Zickler, Ret. USAF Lt. Col. (26-788/NW).
