Very early unit with Stevens rear sight rather than later Coltmaster sight; standard serrated blade front sight. All upper parts included rather than reusing some host frame parts. Includes: Colt marked 10 round magazine with aluminum follower, recoil spring, barrel bushing, ejector, floating chamber, spring plug, checkered slide lock and spring guide with built in recoil buffing plunger. Early, dark maroon compartmentalized box with "Service Model" end label. CONDITION: unit exhibits considerable use with thinning original finish throughout. Noticeable finish wear from functioning such as on barrel. Near excellent bore. Base of box is about good, but missing the top hinged portion. PROVENANCE: From the Lifetime Collection of Malcolm Zickler, Ret. USAF Lt. Col. (02-26515/NW). NON-GUN. $350-500.
