SCRIMSHAW CORKSCREW

Description

C. 1880s–1920. Scrimshaw corkscrew featuring a whale’s tooth handle, a rare example of early sailors’ work. The tooth measures 6" long and is attributed to Von Maritime, Inc. Four minor cracks are present in the tooth, particularly around where the corkscrew was installed. Overall, in fantastic condition. Length: 6". Condition: (Excellent). Dimensions: 6" L.
