The group of 1951-1952 Parkhurst cards offered here are from a single family collection and includes the complete 105-card set, including Gordie Howe and Maurice Richard's rookie cards. The set was Parkhurst’s very first hockey card release. It marked the company’s entry into the trading card market and would propel the release of Parkhurst sets for the next decade. The group includes a duplicate Winning Goal and Tom Johnson.

Condition
The set resides with an overall very good eye appeal. Gordie Howe's #66 rookie card has colour and registration that is superb for the 1951 set and is crease-free with imperfect corners and evidence of a pen mark being removed from the bottom left corner. Sawchuk's #61 rookie is in similar condition to Howe's rookie, with better centring. Geoffrion condition matches that of Howe. Card #4 Richard is notably poor with tape residue at the top and bottom edges and a central crease. Despite strong eye appeal, 87/105 cards exhibit minor surface wrinkles. The only cards with severe damage are Richard's #4 (tape residue), #102 Slowinski (paper on back), #22 Sandford, #15 McNeil (tape on reverse), and #16 Gamble (tape on reverse). 86/105 cards show evidence of pen on the reverse, faintly visible on the bottom left corner, including Howe, Richard, and Sawchuk. Notably, 1/2 Winning Goal #52, #5 Olmstead and #86 Kennedy show no evidence of pen. Howe, Sawchuk, and Geoffrion have recently been graded by KSA and reside crease-free with the minor pen evidence on the reverse being the only explanation for their grades.
