The 1964-1965 Topps Tall Boy set offered here is a superb grouping in consistently excellent condition. The set is complete, including 110/110 cards, all short prints, and eight recently graded examples. Each 55-card series in the set contained 11 short prints, making 22 in total. In the first series, key short prints include Bobby Hull (#20), Jean Beliveau (#33), Henri Richard (#48), Marcel Pronovost (#39), and the checklist (#55). The second series features short prints such as Bobby Rousseau (#80) and Marcel Paille rookie card (#92). The cards are considered short prints because of the way the sheets were laid out during production. Each 55-card series was printed on a 99-card sheet, with the first four rows duplicated at the bottom, leaving only the fifth row unique. Since that fifth row held just 11 cards, those became the short prints for each series. All items are guaranteed authentic by Miller & Miller Auctions.

Condition
The set is in overall Excellent+ condition. Eight cards have recently been graded by PSA, with cards #59 Pilote, #68 Plante, #73 Maki, #89 Howe, #92 Paille, and #105 All-Star Horton receiving a grade of 5 Excellent. Cards #106 All-Star Mikita and #54 1st Series Checklist receive a grade of four. What stands out in this grouping is the consistency of the condition; most cards would grade at the 4-5 level or above. Minor corner imperfection remains the only notable flaw throughout. The set is entirely crease-free. Checklist #55 is crease-free and unmarked but suffers from more severe corner imperfections than the rest of the set. Surface scuffs to card #50 Boivin and off-centring with corner imperfection to Bobby Hull #107 All Star would deem the cards slightly lower than the set's average.
