The 1933 Ice Kings hockey set was produced by the World Wide Gum Co. from Montreal and featured many of hockey's earliest stars. The group offered here includes a trio of Hall of Fame inductees in Howie Morenz, Hooley Smith, and Sylvio Mantha. Also included in the group are cards #7 Martin, #31 Smith, #32 Chapman, #33 Cotton, #35 Patterson, #51 Ayres, and #61 Mackenzie.
Size
5.5" x 3.5".
Condition
The cards range in condition from poor-very good. The Morenz card appears to be in very good condition with minor surface toning, most notable at the central portion. Harold Cotton is very good. Mantha, Mantha, and Martin are good-very good and crease-free. The remaining cards exhibit creasing to the point of being described as poor. Note: Morenz and Cotton have not been examined outside of their ACA cases to feel if any wrinkles invisible to the eye exist. ACA grades do not match modern grading standards.
