The 33 cards offered here are from the Canadian-produced World Wide Gum baseball sets issued in 1933 and 1934. The group includes Hall of Fame inductee Tris Speaker. The World Wide Gum sets were the Canadian counterpart to the US-produced Goudey sets, and the cards are found in a much lower population than that of the Goudey. The 1933 cards found in this group are: #13, 26, 32, 39, 45, 50, 51. The 1934 series cards include #2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 13, 14, 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 22, 23, 25, 26, 29 (Tris Speaker), 31, 34, 41, and 42. Condition
The cards are in low-grade, poor condition, with most exhibiting a perforation at the top edge. The 1933 issue cards are more severely damaged than the 1934 issue, which exhibits bold colours compared to those found the year before. Tris Speaker has a perforation on the top edge and a loss to the bottom left corner.
