The 1965 O-Pee-Chee baseball set offered here includes 280 of the 283 cards that make up the scarce Canadian released issue. The missing cards include #95 (Bill Mazeroski), #130 (Al Kaline) and #206 (Willie Horton). Despite these missing three cards, the set includes key examples in Hank Aaron, Bob Clemente, Willie Mays, Roger Maris, Joe Morgan (RC) and all three cards that feature Mantle (134, 3, 5). Condition
The set varies heavily in its condition ranging from poor-near mint. Notably, card #170 Hank Aaron is EX-NM, #155 Maris is marked on reverse but has excellent eye appeal, Clemente is VG with a poor bottom right corner, #250 Willie Mays is VG, #16 Joe Morgan RC is fair with poor corners, Willie McCovey is EX-NM, #260 Don Drysdale is EX. Mantle's card #134 is fair-good and crease free with poor corners and surface scratches, #207 Pete Rose is graded a 5 EX (MK) by PSA due to a mark on the reverse right side corner. 95 of the 275 cards included are poor with creases or rounded corners that would likely result in a grade point of one. The remaining cards range from good-near mint and fall in the average of good+. Three of four checklists are marked with #104 remaining unmarked and excellent. Of the 95 poor cards, most notable are rookie card #236 McLain, #50 Juan Marichal, #120 Frank Robinson and #2 N.L Batting Leaders.
