Notable missing cards in the set are, #50 McCovey, #140 Perry, #160 Seaver, #180 Kaline, #210 Carew, #250 Bench, #361 Sutton, #400 Aaron, #525 Banks, #530 Yastrzemski, #5550 Killebrew, #570 Palmer, #580 Perez, #600 Mays, #625 Brock, #630 Clemente, and #640 Robinson. As noted above, many key high-number cards are missing. The group includes card #513 Nolan Ryan, #450 Bob Gibson, #280 Fergie Jenkins, #230 Willie Stargell, #55 Steve Carlton, #619 Checklist (Unmarked), and #300 Brooks Robinson.

Five cards have recently been graded by KSA, with Thurman Munson rookie receiving a grade of 5.5 EX+, #641 Mets a Grade of 7 NM, #615 Mel Stottlemyre a grade of 7 (NM), #536 Claude Raymond a grade of 6.5 E-NM+, and #560 Staub a grade of 6.5 E-NM+. The set as a whole matches the average of the graded cards very well and is consistently excellent-near mint. Notably, Nolan Ryan #513 falls below average with poor corners and a minor vertical wrinkle in the bottom right corner.
