This game-used bat from Don Mattingly dates to the 1986–1989 era and shows extensive game use. Measuring 34 inches and weighing approximately 29.2 ounces, the bat aligns with his documented specifications. It is a T141 model, one of Mattingly’s preferred patterns, and features no finish—another characteristic consistent with his known game bats. The knob is marked “23” in pen, and the handle shows a notable application of pine tar. The bat displays use throughout the barrel, with stitch marks visible on the right, left, and back—traits commonly associated with Mattingly’s hitting style. A blue bat rack streak appears along the left side, providing an additional usage characteristic. The bat has been cracked and subsequently repaired.
